Alberto Pallotti, AIFVS-ONLUS’ national president, about the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims has been created 26th October 2005.

The resolution adopted by the ONU General Assembly on that date (http://goo.gl/2koNra), in fact, “invites Member States and the international community to recognize the third Sunday in November of every year as the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims as the appropriate acknowledgement for victims of road traffic crashes and their families”.

As national president of an important association like the AIFVS-ONLUS, I take this opportunity to salute all the associations, in Italy and worldwide, which fight, like us, in order to reduce, as much as possible, the tragic phenomenon of road traffic crashes.

I would like to suggest to every AIFVS’ representative to adopt all possible initiatives in order to remember, also this year (Sunday 16th November 2014), this important day, preferably along with other organisations (without a common effort of every association, in fact, no considerable progress is possible in the war against the road bloodshed): asking local institutions for a monument’s illumination, Masses for deceased, torch marches, and so on.
Good work to everybody.
Alberto Pallotti, national president of the Associazione italiana familiari e vittime della strada-onlus (Italian Association relatives and road victims)
